Several airlines promote low cost flights to major European destinations, like to the popular cities of Budapest, Prague, Bucharest, Warsaw, Verona, Napoli or Rome between November 27 and December 3 (with a return by January 12) for about £120. At Lufthansa, you are required to purchase these flights 14 days in advance. Also, the minimum stay is three days (or a Saturday night) and the maximum is six months. There's an extra bonus for passengers who use online check-in, as they will receive a £15 voucher for their next booking.
Other cities included in the promotion are Basel in Switzerland, the Polish cities of Katowice, Poznan, Wroclaw, and also Bari in Southern Italy.
But if you search for flights London - Warsaw mid-January (leaving on Friday, January 15, and returning on Monday, 18 January) on any price-comparing webpage, you will find a return ticket for £74 as well.
London-Rome flights in the same time (flying on Friday, January 8, and returning on Monday, January 11) are available for £78 .
