How to be a Chinese tourist
Like most countries the government provides advice and sometimes even warnings for its citizens when travelling abroad, particularly to Europe and North America. China is no exception but some of their suggestions may seem a bit extreme and some even a bit silly. It is estimated that more than 80 million Chinese will travel abroad this year and they should know how to behave before take-off. Let's take a look at how to be a Chinese tourist according to the Chinese media.
In France
- Always let "ladies first"
- Do not cut through crowds, always go around
- If this is not possible, apologive beforehand
In England

Chinese tourists are also advised not to play cards in the street or make loud noises while eating. They should not talk to strangers either, which could prove difficult when travelling solo!
